My only real complaint is that the lyrics alternate between pretty good and a bit rote, punctuated with lots of stock phrases and f-bombs.
Jeff singing "ohhhh......lyrics!" cracks me up every time
The production reminds me a little of Pinkerton, skronky but polished. I like the little touches like the added percussion on (iirc?) "cruel"
funny that's the only one that doesn't work for me, otherwise my fave since Morbid I feel like so far
Album is very good. definitely a more consistently melancholic register than we've heard from them before, but the riffs haven't gone anywhere.
