So excited to see Imminence and Landmarks this weekend. The imminence setlist is full of bangers and I think they're going to absolutely crush it live. Sold out too which I didn't expect and its been sold out for a minute too. Saw Thrown and the plot in you lately (different shows). Thrown were great, super high energy, small venue with so much moshing and crowd surfing going on. The plot in you sounded great but were pretty boring to be honest and I think the crowd kind of met that low energy. Not my favorite live metalcore band. Might have been too big of a venue for them too. Wasn't empty by any means, but wouldn't have considered it a sell out or even 90% full.

Been working my way back through this and loving it on a rewatch. It's so outlandish but also somehow works and feels relatable. Crazy how long its been though and I have no idea what storylines they'll go with when both Malcom and Reese actors are 40. From googling it seems like it'll be Lois and Hal as grandparents? EDIT - Nvmd, read the post above about the plot line for the episodes.

Not going to wade into the AI debate (though I did read and found a lot of it interesting and gave me things to ponder about my own thoughts). Love the new songs and hope that they take a more active presence in the music scene for a while - IE, touring and being more of an active band. I loved the old hardcore stuff, but people and tastes change, and I can vibe and appreciate the new songs as well.

I’m an artist. I create work meant to connect with people. Ideally to challenge, inspire, and spark conversation. So yes, when I see people engaging with new art I’m part of, whether they love it or hate it, I participate. I should participate. That is part of the job. Absorbing feedback and impressions. Framing that as “arguing” feels like a swipe not just at me, but at the idea that artists should not be involved in the discourse around their work. How dare you imply that thoughtful engagement is not appropriate, especially in spaces where people are reacting to art I am proud to be part of.

Can you do that? Sure. Try it. Are you impressed with the end results? Great. Can I stop you? No. This is the reality of the world. It’s not going anywhere. If I use drum samples from another session, am I committing some blasphemous mistake? Or am I just using the tools available to make something new? I can’t stop you from doing whatever you want with the tools you have. You could try to make a Sam Pura album with AI. Go for it. But it will never be a Sam Pura album. It will be different. And maybe you will like that more. That’s fine. Every generation has its panic moment. Mellotron shows up. People scream it will replace orchestras. Drum machines hit. RIP drummers. Sampling? Get out of here. People said it wasn’t real music. CGI? What a joke. Hollywood will never take it seriously. Every new invention threatens to kill music and creativity. And yet here we are. Still making art. Still moved by it. Still evolving. Maybe you don’t see it that way right now. But you will advance. We all do.

Ok!!! Excited to jump in here and say I’m incredibly proud of the new Hundredth album. I think it’s not just pushing into new territory but also coming full circle. It pulls from every era of the band’s sound and energy to create something that feels cohesive and current. When I show people the new record, they often ask about the drum sounds. But it’s just like the music video. It’s about vision, not tradition. When listeners actually engage with their ears and eyes without defaulting to their biases about electronic drums, synths, guitar sims, or AI, they usually walk away impressed. This isn’t about cutting corners. It’s about using every tool to evoke thought and emotion. So why is this video offensive? What’s so unsettling about a band evolving and expressing themselves through art that reflects the present?

Its just a big tube thing that you puff the inhaler into, then you hold it over their mouth and count to 10 while they breath it in. Some cats im sure wouldnt put up with it, but she just goes still and chills and breathes it in. She doesnt seem phased. Its human meds and like $80-100 / month - but she wheezes / sneezes when off it.

Sight impaired since birth, and fully blind since like 4 or 5 months, and i think shes 2 now. We fostered her while she was waiting on eye surgery then kept her. Shes a champ and as long as things stay consistent, she's great at getting around. She climbs up into the cat tree, navigates her way down from heights like the counter etc. If spooked, she'll dart and bonk into stuff, but then she resets and is fine again. She loves to pounce on the dog and cries when he leaves on a walk. Most guests dont know shes blind till shes up in their face as she just glides around the apt like any other cat. In the future tho, id be worried in a bigger place, with stairs etc. Only 'annoying' things are she has to eat in a crate as shes ravenous and bothers the other cat (eats so fast), and shes expensive as the eye issues caused nasal and breathing issues. Shes on ashtma medication (daily inhaler) and shes had a few infections that needed antibiotics and flushing out. Shes cute tho and worth it.

Yea, we've gone 6 / 7 / 8 for the 3 seasons so + 1 each time which probably makes sense why the pace has slowed down, and the set up has felt longer. Again though - no complaints from me. I don't think there's been a wasted minute and am enjoying the simmer. I'm also pumped that the week after white lotus is right into the last of us.

I suspect they are going to blend the end of 3 and 5 into one event: . IF that’s the series finale, and they were given enough notice to film it as such, it’ll be possible to end it with that same feeling of partial completeness TDR the book ends on had the trilogy been all that’s published. If they have been given the green light to close out one more season, I have no idea how they end it. If they go for the full remaining five, I suspect it’ll be some version of 4: 6 5: 7-10 6: 11 7: 12-13 8: 14 You can already tell how much they’re trimming out, so those “slog books” could really be sped run. That also will leave less than a Forsaken a season, though. Book spoilers: Whoops, Discord spoilers don’t work here… lol

Watched this one twice and really enjoyed it. If they nail the other 'big' moments of books 3 and 4 with as much craft, care and attention as this one, its going to continue to be a stellar season. Im seeing on reddit some people jumping back on board and im working on convincing a few friends to jump in / back on, but im pretty nervous we'll get a post saying that this is it, going out on a high. Also makes me want to reread but i dont think i will anytime soon. Maybe reread through 6 sometime later in the year.

Another good slow burn and between Gregs dinner party, and Ricks mission, we're in for a good couple of closers. Loved the 3 friends reactions and it was so infurating to watch how (realistically) people react and play the victim when caught out. Glad for once we had someone plainly reject cheating and damn, did
