Yep tried it out this year for the MLS through T Mobile and got a similar deal. Pretty sweet since I don’t know anyone who has T Mobile lol

I think a band getting a new vocalist and then re-recording songs from their prior lineup makes sense, as long the new version doesn’t, like, replace the original. Doing a “greatest hits” of songs in rotation for them live probably makes more sense to me, personally, than a full album? But whatever. I love TAITA Revisited and Fearless (Taylor’s Version), so what do I know? Anyways. Found out about this Nevertake or whatever and gave some random songs a shot. No individual moment grated on me per se, but ‘twas all bland af to me. Not that I was still keeping up with Anberlin classic, but this is probably the last nail in anything they do being of interest to me. They should’ve done a Linkin Park and gotten a woman to be their new singer (preferably without the concerning connections to Scientology, etc).

I'm fairly sure it's been discussed in this thread before, but I think it all depends on the circumstances. Like Thrice re-recording TAITA was quite successful. I love the original, but also thoroughly enjoy their new version for being its own thing. It brings new life to the album. Nevertake does not fall into that category for me.
