I still can't believe people hated on The Act. As I've said before it's my favorite, it's such an interesting progression for the band. I don't mind his spoken word style, I may just be fan boying but his voice can do no wrong for me.

Mike's spoken word God Alone style vocals would be such a good fit for this era but they got so much shit for them during The Act that he kinda stopped them so much. So instead we get an out of place breakdown instead of a bridge and Mike is just kinda there. EDIT: Just checked the credits and saw Bobby Lynge from Fit For A King has a credit on Where The Flowers Never Grow so I guess he wrote that breakdown.

while I appreciate both vocalists, I also find Mike more interesting. One of my fav vocalists in the scene for sure.

I think this is just a "me" thing so I'll have to get over it, but I find Mike a much more interesting vocalist than Jeremy. If I didn't already like TDWP there's nothing in these new songs that would make me want to give them a second chance. The heavy parts being so juxtaposed with the lighter parts feels like ADTR when they remember they have to pretend to be heavy sometimes.

Mike has always been more of a low key dude especially when compared to someone as extroverted as Jeremy and when you take into account them wanting to reach a wider audience and being more in the scene limelight? It kind of all makes sense. Sounds dumb to say out loud but whenever I would see stories from Jeremy or the band’s insta - I noticed that Mike was rarely (if ever) there so it just became obvious that he probably likes his alone time much more. He’s been a total sweetheart the two times I met him though and Jeremy once offered to do a shot of jagger with me lmao. They’re all good dudes.

dynamite was not nearly as bad as bryan alvarez makes it out to be each week. i'm convinced he actually doesn't watch the show with volume on sometimes

They have but this is a rather new thing for them after years of bad decisions so naturally I’m gonna be apprehensive a little bit. It’s also a remake of a beloved game so it really only had two choices: Stick the landing or fail. I wasn’t sure how that was gonna shake out but in a positive way, these reviews showed that my reservations were for naught ultimately so that’s a good thing really.

Reddit is so full of conspiracy theories lol. I'm just of the mind he was fine with a tie as he thought he had enough votes OR he thought since he got the number first (although he didn't lock in) maybe that would help in the case of a tie. Apparently he was telling Keanu and Vince before that Mickey is trash at comps so he got cocky and didn't bother looking at her number. Who knows. Good triumphed today, evil was defeated, I feel that 5-4 vote is gonna cause new dynamics. Lines were drawn. It's exciting!

They released 3 other songs today, For You, Ritual, and Wave. The first two songs are in similar style as the one we're talking about and Wave is a ballad type song. I really enjoy the bands evolution to what they are today and I just know the album is gonna be fun to listen to.
