[MEDIA] Saw this show last night and can confirm hardcore is alive and well. It was a long night but every band was great. The big hit of the night was Berthold City and Squint but all the bands got a big reaction.

I got to be in the audience for MTV's "Warning : First Listen", which is one of the cooler music things I've done. I think I've mentioned this before - they did some Warning songs to be televised, and took requests in between. I was like 2 feet from BJ, so I said "Rotting!" BJ gives me a bamboozled look and says "I don't remember how the fuck to play that!" Then in Penn Station on the way home, I met up with a kid who stole a CD-R from the Warning listening station. He ripped it and emailed it to me, so I had Warning a little earlier than other people.

I try not to take for granted living near LA as a movie fan. LA movie heads can be insufferable though lol.

At the Vista, they were handing out punch cards for like 8 different formats/screenings that you could the movie in and receive a hole punch for. I looked at it and my brain just wouldn’t allow me to grab it from the guy who was handing it to me. That’s a level of coastal big city cinema fan that I don’t have the free brain energy to even conceptualize.

yes geoff did vocals for Ink and Dagger during their first reunion back in 2010. he also mentioned on a podcast that being in the band put him in a negative headspace and got heavily into drugs during that time so hopefully its a much better situation this time around (if he's involved).

Didn’t they bring back all the golden age writers for the first one? I can’t believe I was in high school for that movie I remember a bunch of us going out on Friday after school to see it and then going to in n out after and then doing other high school bullshit. Now I’ll be 37 for the 2nd one.
