I’ve got one more trade of the North FF run, and that’s the element the book really gets right to me. With every issue or two being its own story, the characters get a lot more focus issues and we see different pairings each time. I think it also helps that Alicia is the closest to being the main character and so her POV really emphasizes the human element of some of the wacky adventures of the FF along with the overall back to basics vibe of the book.

i do wanna say re: iron heart that it has a majority poc cast with some characters that seem to be gender nonconforming. obviously a diverse cast doesn't necessarily always equate to good representation (and good representation doesn't always make a good movie/show), but here it's never really brought up, and i think that's a good thing, treat it like it's normal, because it is. ms marvel was much more direct with it, and that's okay too, theres a time and place for both. when ppl say marvel hasnt been good since endgame, i look at all the stories theyve told since then, the types of characters theyve introduced, and i grow skeptical of the kind of person they are, why certain stories resonate with them more than others. of course, i know the loudest, most annoying fans are the minority, but do the executives making all the decisions know that? or are they letting the most close-minded group of individuals influence the direction of marvel/star wars/etc? this is the kind of stuff i think about all the time. but anyway, yeah, i enjoyed iron heart

If you’re a fan of the Prequel Jedi, check out the Jedi Knights comic. Each issue is standalone and they’ve all been fun stories from the pre-Phantom Menace era. Legacy of Vader has been good too. Reminds me of a Kylo version of Soule’s Vader book.

Finally watched this on Disney+, and it’s way worse than I thought it would be. Not sure why they chose to make Cap 4 actually a sequel to Incredible Hulk, but it was really dumb.

Playing through Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core on PS5 and having a lot of fun with it. There’s some elements that are definitely remnants of it being a PSP game originally with the mission structure, but I’m really enjoying it so far.

Catching up on my back log and have really enjoyed the North Fantastic Four run so far. I enjoy how each issue is relatively stand alone and there’s a lot of fun back to their roots elements. On the opposite end, Hush 2 sucks so far. It feels clear that Loeb has read nothing since the first Hush book as every character is basically the same as they were in the early 2000’s. There’s been so much development over the years, especially with Jason, that’s just ignored for a plot that we’ve seen done better many times since then.
