Dude called everyone weird and got offended that people didn't like that and left when they made him feel bad :( Anyway I'm good leaving it there (if you're not that's cool too though), I'm glad WRK said something about how it was addressed, will probably make their fans feel better in general and if they don't then it is what it is and that is alright too. Discussion likely only gets worse from here

Thank you for circling back and directly acknowledging people's concerns. I think it’s important that we all have a mutual understanding of each other, especially with a topic this serious, and it's good to get perspective from someone in the industry. I think the feeling at this point is less about the member and more about how complicit the remaining members were or are in how things transpired. It's not hard to look at how they handled a situation and be concerned about their own character. And everyone's mileage will vary on what appropriate accountability looks like.

Yesterday I finished reading the R. Kelly book and it bummed me out how many replies across time to the journalist who broke the story ended up being "I'm just excited for the music" or "It's just music". He wrote some GREAT responses to the point of it "just being music" that's being put out and how loudly supporting the artist's music still ends up enabling others Sharing for no reason. I highly recommend the book to all music fans though

I almost left my own comment about this last night, but I didn't want to throw more fire on the thread at the time. But despite this conversation getting uncomfortable, I think it's wrong to then try to "balance it out" by dismissing and undermining what is a very serious subject and a discussion worth having. It's callous.

Your reaction was fine. Don’t question your own personal convictions because a lead singer of a band got sarcastic/snarky. It’s not new news that band members have more info on what happens behind the scenes. It’s an argument/justification that many people on this website have been making for years when trying to post about music from artists that have had any type of connection to these types of issues.
