Hopefully the "you need to require customers to wear masks" will help a bit But also, masks aren't a magic safety net. People simply shouldn't be going out unless they absolutely have to. But they aren't. Because humans are terrible.

Positive test percentage in King County has doubled in two weeks. Average case count has tripled. Yet no one seems to give a shit because I guess its not as bad as Florida or something like that? We didn't even reopen that much shit back up. Was only like, outdoor dining and shit like that. But I guess people stopped following good social distancing or some shit like that. idk.

The fact that that, in the middle of pandemic with millions of Americans out of work struggling to make ends meet, we can collectively give $270 million dollars in a single month to people running for president is yet another testament to the failures of this country.

Yup. Was the same night Tom Hanks got sick. Think its when a lot of people went from "Shit this is bad" to "shit this is history making"

Dan Patrick is so willfully obtuse. Yes, in the pitiable throes of your argument, conveniently leave out states like Michigan where we shut down for months because we were one of the leading states for cases and deaths AND IT WORKED. We’re way down the list now. Most of us would agree here that the Governor actually opened us back up too soon. I am constantly in fear of those numbers rising again.

Our idiot mayor is deciding its the best use of her time to try and attack our socialist councilmember, and Kshama is having absolutely none of it https://www.thestranger.com/slog/2020/06/30/44007426/sawant-responds-to-jenny-durkan-cites-citizens-call-for-durkan-to-resign

Yeah seems mostly proactive. Our cases have definitely increased from our lockdown numbers but nothing like FL, AZ, TX

case count in Colorado seems to be pretty good. Seems like this is more of a proactive measure given what is going on in other states? Nice to see some governors doing that

Poll finds Biden with narrow lead over Trump in Missouri I don't actually believe Biden is gonna win Missouri, Texas and Georgia but the fact that polls have show him up in those three states in the last week... makes it easier to dream about Trump getting absolutely trashed which would be nice

Trump attacks Republicans who don't support him as 'stupid people' as president plummets in polls I'm sure all the snowflakes who got upset when Hillary called republicans "deplorables" are gonna get equally upset when Trump calls them "stupid people"...

Trump Got Written Briefing in February on Possible Russian Bounties, Officials Say So is Trump's defense really gonna be that he's far too busy and important to actually *read* his written briefings, and whoever is in charge of summarizing them for him decided this stuff wasn't important?

Apparently the Unemployment services in WA state "overpaid" me like 5K and they want it back because they couldn't prove my identity? I'm pretty sure I was a victim of the fraud fiasco that bombarded our state. I got less than 1/3 of what they think they paid me.

Is the Russian bounty thing actually legit? And if so, how is it not major news? Seems like a major foreign government putting a bounty US troops is like one step away from an act of war.

Amazing how we half two candidates running for president and there is like, at best, half a platform between them. The guy in office can't coherently share any goals for the second term, and the guy running against him mainly just talks about getting the other guy out of office. Meanwhile were facing down the barrel of a global pandemic that is killing us now, a long hard recession that will be caused by that pandemic even once we recover, and catastrophic climate change waiting in the wings requiring immediate action to ensure future generations are only mostly fucked instead of fully fucked. America is a failed state

that just looks uncompletely unsafe even not during a pandemic. like what happens if you fall out, go under, and then can't resurface because the entire lake is covered legs, asses and inflated plastic?

How long until you think the GOP shifts from "DC shouldn't be a state" to "Make DC part of Maryland"? Cause its hard to argue the citizens of DC shouldn't have representation. But really, all GOP cares about is denying the senate seats so you'd think they'd fall back to simply trying to stop that.
