No it's funny because I didn't even notice that, and even when I first read your post I had to think about it, but yeah

This was better than the last three films, although that is not saying much. The superboss dinosaur at the end was such an embarrassment. When they discovered the lab full of the failed dinosaurs they missed a great opportunity for an Alien: Resurrection reference. It was helpful that the kid held the M&M's right at the camera as the water dinosaur was trying to kill them. Things like the dinosaurs appearing behind smoke are not revolutionary techniques but it shows how much more competent Edwards is to the other guys. Ali surviving is so obviously forced; his entire character development has been about how the loss of his child ruined his life, his crew (metaphorical children) are gone, and he has a chance to save the little girl. It is screenwriting basics. I appreciated the deaths of the two crew members because of the goofy way they were portrayed. The dinosaur casually coming from the side of the frame to kill the female crewmember was different, and pulling up the French one to find him already partly consumed was satisfying. Other than that, you could see who had plot armor and who didn't a mile away (maybe in some versions the dad sacrifices himself) so you can never really fully invest in the stakes.

I like the song fine, but it feels like a classic track 2 to me.

I'm not crazy about "Sad Eyes" & "Trouble In Paradise" being back-to-back like that, and I really struggled with where to place the two 'Trouble' songs, but I think both of them are so good and absolutely essential, and I didn't want to close the album out with 4 'slow' songs in a row

yeah, this disc for me was the major revelation of this Tracks II set. I cannot believe how good this album would have been if he had released these songs together with the title track and "Missing". also, I've been listening to my version of Human Touch every day on my ride into work for a while now, and I would say its a damn solid album even if it is a slightly disappointing one coming from him. for me it's more a testament to how incredible the rest of his output is rather than an indictment of the album itself. THIS! I was on a Bruce fansite that writes about his various songs, and they played a YouTube video of the E Street Band playing "Trouble River" live and pointed out how Bruce looks like he is having the time of his life and the rest of the band look less enthused / miserable, and the writer sorta mentioned maybe they don't like the song, but to me it seems pretty obvious that it was more about the awkwardness of the period that song came from. they're only human after all

Maybe I don’t know you is an instant classic. It’s criminal how much incredible stuff this dude has sat on for decades but I’m very thankful that it’s all seeing the light of day

I think the title track probably fits best as the end of the A side after “The Little Things”. The problem is then the B side opens with “We Fell Down”, which might be the slightest song in here. I’d just as well drop it, start with “One Beautiful Morning” and roll into the sunshine.

today's 5:15am thought about the Streets of Philadelphia disc: Phoebe Bridgers would do a killer cover of "Something in the Well"
