That show was so magical. The best part was seeing just how happy Andy was to be there. Great energy the entire set. It was very hot and a bit cramped in there but for sure worth it.

there are two different ones with the same name. One is a stripped down acoustic on that deluxe and then there is the earth to echo song. Very different.

I’m not sure if I’m properly expressing this, but this album feels like it was more focused on the spectacle and lore around drop day hype and how euphoric the fanbase would feel with a whole separate album dropped on the same day than trying to write an actual good album. i just want Taylor to go “alright, I’m going to spend the next year+ writing songs, and we’re ONLY going to release the 12-13 best songs for this next album.”

I am a fan of the album, but I do agree with this. State of Grace in particular has such a beautiful soaring hook, and it has been a bit since we've gotten that.

I just feel like a bit unsure where Taylor has gone to musically. A good core of what she was so damn good at was these massive melodies attached to storytelling. Or the Max Martin and first Jack era with big pop hits and now it feels like 80% of her new songs are just sort of talked through narratives with the same soundscapes. State of Grace Delicate Wildest Dreams Style All Too Well Love Story Cruel Summer Enchanted Dear John Treacherous I just feel like none of these 31 songs stand out as anywhere approaching any of those. Feels like quantity over quality.
