The film score for Ryusuke Hamaguchi's new film Evil Does Not Exist is available for pre-order. Eiko Ishibashi crushed it with the Drive My Car score (still need that on vinyl) so I'm excited about what this will contain. [MEDIA]

Not unreasonable at all. Wan and Blum should be all over this, it's only good optics. Keep the fans happy.

This album feels like it’s moving away from Taylor Swift the musical artist and towards Taylor Swift the brand and cult of personality.

I just feel like a bit unsure where Taylor has gone to musically. A good core of what she was so damn good at was these massive melodies attached to storytelling. Or the Max Martin and first Jack era with big pop hits and now it feels like 80% of her new songs are just sort of talked through narratives with the same soundscapes. State of Grace Delicate Wildest Dreams Style All Too Well Love Story Cruel Summer Enchanted Dear John Treacherous I just feel like none of these 31 songs stand out as anywhere approaching any of those. Feels like quantity over quality.

another mainstream album that desperately needs an editing job. so sick of 15-20 track albums with 8-10 keepers

  12. Barresi replied to the thread Godzilla Minus One (Takashi Yamazaki, December 1, 2023).

It’s more like a picture book/quick reference of all the films/monsters up through GvK ‘21, with minor info/details. Definitely not as informative as something like the Godzilla Compendium from the 90s, but still cool to flip through.

Was happy to find these in some record stores in Tokyo this past week. I was really searching hard for the Japanese Atlantic City single, but no luck there.

[ATTACH] [ATTACH] Everything I took home with me after ten days in Tokyo. Also got to see quite a few film locations, and a few screen-used suits from the Millennium series. Just an incredible trip as a fan.

Also, 1st half felt a step up from Midnights, but not by much. Nowhere near the level of folklore/evermore

Early impressions: Better than my first listen of Midnights but very one note. Missing a new level, which means the over exposure becomes a factor and it just feels … ok? And a little lacking. the Starting Line reference rules If you told me this was a bunch of bsides or (fake) versions of the vault tracks I’d believe you. this roll out has bugged me and felt exploitative if I was a consultant for a career (lol no one cares what I think at this level) .. I’d recommend a break, a reset, and work on the songs until they don’t feel like lesser versions of what you’ve don’t before
