I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Oh fuck yes! No song premiere date or release?

And 13 songs? Wow. Hoping they change things up a bit for this one.

I was hoping they'd REALLY change it up by staying consistent to DGD tradition and getting a new singer. Three albums with one singer is too much for me to handle from these guys, and Tillian totally sucked on IG so I don't think I'm too interested in this unless something crazy happens.

Although Kurt era will likely always be my favorite DGD discography, the past two albums and three shows I've seen them with Tillian have been stellar. Looking forward to this.

I like Death of a Strawberry, a few parts of Awkward, and maybe a few moments elsewhere. But man I think he's just got two modes on that record, boring and obnoxious. There was cool stuff on AS and Pussy Vultures is a phenomenal song but on the whole, Tillian is no good.

Different strokes. No worries! I hated Tillian at first and warmed up to him on AS but by the time I heard "Lost" and "Variation" I was sold. Love IG so much. "Shark Dad" and "The Cuddler" are a little lackluster to me but the rest is solid IMO.

Oh and Pussy Vultures is DAMN good.

So, so stoked. That's easily the best cover art they've ever had for an album. Can't wait to hear the new tunes. Already pre-ordered.

    Needle Drop did too!

Not that I'm proud to agree with him. Haha. Everyone I know who likes this band stopped caring after AS, too.

I don't like the needle drop review of it (obviously) but I did find that whole fiasco funny. Will Swan called him out on Twitter and that was funny. I like Anthony and follow his channel even though I disagree with a lot of his reviews lol

Also the band has gotten a new generation of fans with this line up which is great. I don't want this band to end anytime soon so I hope they continue to grow.

I might actually go to this show, theyre not touring with a bunch of mediocre rise bands for once.

The TND reviews I've really agreed with were for Wolf/Goblin and Rodeo by Travis Scott. He really got what was great/terrible about those albums.

But yeah, he was wrong about this album, too harsh, because Swan and co brought it instrumentally, just TP blows and Based Mess was significantly less based on this than he had been on the previous two records and SB

I'd argue that they're changing up their tradition by staying consistent with one lead singer.

Good for them for keeping it together this long.

Well we can at least both agree he was way too harsh. He even included it on his worst of 2015 list. That is just not true. I also get what you mean about Mess being a little less manic but they are trying to reach a wider audience. At least they didn't completely go soft to appeal to the hot topic crowds like Pierce The Veil did with Misadventures :crylaugh:

    Constant horror and bone-deep dissatisfaction.

I'm so excited for this record. Great cover artwork, as usual.

Yeah, the non-bombastic sound just made it really tedious. I still haven't listened to a full PtV album after their debut which makes no sense because I adore their debut and have liked what I've heard from other albums haha

Needle Drop also shit all over the new Pianos Become The Teeth record, so his credibility in reviews is basically nonexistent.

I have a friend who knows one of the band member's girlfriend and she basically told her that their fanbase is getting younger and younger so they kept that in mind when writing/marketing this record. It shows too haha.

What a bummer. Oh well. We will always have the timeless Mess classics that are Death Star and DBMII. He goes so off.
