Relient K Stream New Album

Really want to listen to this but I've only had bad quality when streaming albums on Pandora. Gonna hold off as long as I can.

 

Same Pandora streams at like 160 and it almost ruined the Saosin record for me

 

I like it a lot.

 

It's like a cross between Collapsible Lung and Forget and Not Slow Down. I feel like it's the record CL was supposed to be. I dig it for sure, Mountaintop, Bummin, and Air For Free are standouts so far. Cat sounds like Relient K covering Peter Fuller-era Newsboys. Not necessarily a bad thing

 

The electronic tracks are also making me realize how much I'd love a Matt theissen solo album in the vein of Postal service/owl city. I know he's buds with Adam young, so I'm curious if there are any cowrites on this album

 

This is beyond a return to form.

It's not even necessarily a return to form; it's the progression that should have happened instead of the last album, ha. It's so good!

 

Miles better than CL. Not a bad track here in my opinion, was a really smooth seamless listen.

 

Whatever happened to owl city?

 

Came out with an album last year. He's popular in his own circles, but really got a one-hit wonder (unless you count that Carly Rae jepsen song).

Both of these statements are true. "Man" is the band at its best imo. Matt and Matt have always been such great songwriters.

 

That song could easily be in an indie film trailer

 

I could definitely see that.

 

First time listening to "Elephant Parade" I kept waiting for a Brendon Urie guest vocal.

 

He released a record that tanked compared to Midsummer Station. I think he is taking a step back.

He is doing a fantastic monthly score right now.

 

The throwback to "Savannah" in "Sleepin'" is a nice touch.

What an awesome surprise for the morning. Probably one of my most anticipated for this year.
