Celine Dion has the number one album in the country this week:

The set, which was released on Nov. 15 via Columbia Records, earned 113,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Nov. 21 in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music.

I am always so confused by this woman's popularity. I can't think of a single song besides the Titanic one.

In Canada she was an absolute icon throughout the 90s (well before Titanic).

Edit: just looked on her Wikipedia page and she had 5 diamond albums in the 90s in Canada (3 before Titanic). Impressive.

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

Could Celine's popularity in the 90's be similar to Adele's in the early 00's?
