It's fine. It gets better with each listen. But it's not immediate.

I just don't know how to feel about mid-tempo Blink. You have maybe (!) the best drummer on the goddamn planet and he's playing 4/4 like some kid at Guitar Center?

I don’t really like the chorus but I love the rest of it.

I'm flabbergasted that 1. This song made the record 2. They (band/label/whoever) actually decided to tease the record by releasing this 3. I made it through the entire song.

Those lyrics, oof. They are 0/3 on this album so far, for me anyway. I liked half the songs on California so I still have hope.

seems so scary to be buried

I do find the criticism of the lyrics pretty funny - people acting like EOTS/TOYPAJ were lyrical masterpieces.

Mark is in his late 40's writing lyrics that are comparable or worse to what he wrote in his late 20's. Definitely worth bringing up, I'd say.

Not bad... Dig the music more than the lyrics but better than blame it on my youth by about a million.

They need a pretty hard reset. This sounds like a band out of ideas. Super generic. That started to happen during their original run when they released Take Off Your Pants, but they came back arguably better than ever with Untitled. At the very least, with Untitled no one could accuse them of simply rehashing the same formula yet again. I was desperately hoping for a pretty significant departure from California, but it doesn't seem we're going to get that.

Someone tell me exactly what you wanna hear from this band. Because I can't truly believe you want an album that sounds exactly like one you first heard 20 years ago. Talk to me.

There was talk of working with different producers/people during this process and it shows.

I like all three songs, and I’m quite fine with the variety of songs that feel like Blink meets Simple Creatures, a punk tribute and something that could have been on TOYPAJ.

People need perspective on what this band was and is. Enjoy Blink!

I will never ever get it but their S/T or even Neighborhoods/Dogs Eating Dogs sound if I am being honest since I actually enjoy those records/EPs over California/the new singles being released. I made peace with the fact I will never get it and will still check out the new singles but if they sound meh - I will just call it like I personally see it.

Decent track, the best of the batch.
