Anybody have any guesses/inklings as to what might wind up on here?

These are the ones they've announced so far:

Eye of the Tiger (Rocky 3)
    Cups (Pitch Perfect)

If they're trying hard to mirror ep #1, then as they did with That Thing You Do, they should snag a song from Sing Street.

It’s a novelty release, so capping it at 7 songs makes sense. I don’t know why, but I’d be curious to hear them do a slightly more serious movie song for 1 of the 7. Not sure what song that’d be, but I’m sure there has to be something good out there.

Forgot about Eye of the Tiger, and I'm really excited to hear their take on #2 and #3. I can hear what it might sound like in my head already...

I still have my fingers crossed that they'll do Green Day's "J.A.R." from the Angus soundtrack. Doubtful, but I'm hoping for it...

Also, is Mrs. Robinson off the table for them? I feel like that's a given as to how popular that song is, and I can even hear in my head how the NFG cover would sound. But, they haven't done it for the past two?

Angus is still my favorite soundtrack to this day.

Same. That album informed my tastes in a pretty major way.

I've been wanting a studio version of NFG doing that song too, since I saw them play it at Hoodwink about a decade ago. Haha.

Say what?! I didn’t know they covered that before. I’m going to try and find a video now.

Oh, did they ever! Haha. They did an entire set of Green Day covers for that one. Pretty sure that's the only time they played that one, though... Looks like there's a video up on YouTube, though!

That video was great! Can’t believe I haven’t heard that they did a whole set of Green Day covers. It would be sweet if they covered the whole Angus soundtrack :)
