    I wonder if TGA regret their name at all now that the term "gaslight" has taken on a widespread negative connotation in verb form

    That definition came long before the band. I'm pretty sure they knew what they were doing.
     
  7. It comes from The Gaslight Cafe in New York, a very famous venue where some of the greatest artists of all time would play.

    I feel like it was a setting for a scene in Inside Lleywn Davis or something like that. I think it’s a nice tribute to artists they admire like Dylan who played the venue.

    I kinda find this song title a little strange, as in to get clicks for plays because of the band name. Could be wrong though. It’s not a big deal. Either way and I will never give this band a listen because they are not for me.
