More Cynical, The Only Thing that Matters and Left Alone. Just a full goddamn album of that sound, please.

 

Hope they surprise me and bring something new to the table, otherwise I'm not particularly interested. I'm not optimistic .

 

I'm confused why this seems to bother so many people. Simple filler noises have been a staple for this band. Literally, the second track on 1994's Buddha, "T.V.", a minute and a half track, had "La la la, la la la la la, la la la la la la,..." for 10 seconds of that track.

Why is that people only bitch about this with the latest album?

 

My guess is it's because "Nah Nah's" feature (at least) in every other song on California and and it became predictable when they were going to pull it... I don't think any of their other albums have been THAT "Nah Nah" heavy in the past... I also don't think anyone is disputing the fact they have used this trick in the past.

Either way, if they play fast I don't really care :D

 

I would like to see some maturity in their lyrics. They're over 40 lol.

 

Why not both?
