Spotify and Hulu Team Up for Joint $12.99 Plan

    Hulu and Spotify unveiled a new subscription bundle for avid streaming fans Wednesday: The plan, “Spotify Premium, now with Hulu,” combines a full Spotify a la carte subscription with Hulu’s entry-level on-demand service for $12.99 per month.

    Bought individually, both plans would have a combined price tag of close to $18. The new bundle is initially available only to existing Spotify Premium subscribers in the U.S., who also get a chance to try out Hulu for three months for just 99 cents.

    I thought this wasn't their premium plan. It's the base Hulu plan.

    this is pretty cool. i think i use my hulu+ more than netflix nowadays. everything on netflix is an original that i don't care for

    Would be cool if they did this for family plan. Right now I have the student Spotify + Hulu for $4.99, I was going to get a family plan because my wife now wants Spotify too but then i'd lose my throw in Hulu... sigh

    This is a good idea. Wish Apple Music would do this with Netflix haha.

    T-Mobile already has a deal with Netflix so i'm not sure they can do that with another company?

    I like both, but Netflix has the superior catalog. But then again, I have cable too so all my shows are recorded each week which makes Hulu a little redundant for me personally.

    I’m there with ya. I was like wait what, I pay $15 for Spotify Family now I can get Hulu as well for a couple bucks less? Nope. Foiled again!

    netflix sucks unless you're looking for their original content, the actual TV catalog is pretty bad at this point

    Might be Spider-Man...

    I was just using it for Marvel shows and Stranger Things, and I couldn't justify paying for it most of the year, just for those two things. Hulu has a ton of stuff, so does AP.
