These r fantastic. I was a little worried after Yoga, but this is very on par with the Arch android albums. Also she crushes her rap verse. Love it. Also that verse feels like a direct response to a wonderul verse by Shad about needing more women in rap. I'd love to hear Janelle spit some more bars, she's really good!

"And I've been known to talk about women on a track or two
I talk to women I just can't talk for women,
    thats for you
We need women for that more women in rap,
even tracks like kweli's for women
That's still only half the view of the world
theres no girls rapping so we only hearing
half the truth, what we have to lose?
too much half our youth gone represented,
    the better halves of dudes."

I love Janelle Monae cause when she first came out, she wasn't about using sex or bad language to sell albums. (At least that's how I interpreted her tuxedos and dance moves).

    I guess that's gone now? I'm sad.

Sad? On the contrary! She is using her sexuality as a way to empower women, rather than as a tool to sell records. I see what you are saying but the approach she is taking is refreshing and inspirational.
