Tonight Alive – “Temple”

It's bad.

 

The art looks strange. Guessing the album will be called Underworld?

Song is decent. Better than all of the last album.

 

Haven't listened to them since The Other Side. Glad to see I won't have to change that.

 

This is.........not good.

 

It’s not great, but it’s better than their last “korn” album

 

I honestly don't understand what this band is trying to do at this point.

Also I find it funny that this band writes their best pop chorus after they go back to rock.

 

It would seem to me that they've ended up in a similar trap to what caught Rise Against for a while in that they had a surprise crossover hit or two and really want to keep writing poppy stuff, but feel obligated to keep being a rock band because of the fans, and can't really reconcile the two.

I actually enjoy this. I'm confused about the artwork...is that a stomach?

 

They've also announced that they're doing a US Co-Headlining Tour with Silverstein

 

Like this better than the last record, but yikes. The verses transitioning to the hook and back is jarring.

 

Is it difficult for the band to write stuff similar to The Other Side? I don’t know if they can take another misfire like their last album.

 

Definitely their best chorus in years but literally everything else is awful, video/artwork/title included.

 

Wow. Surprised at the reactions here. Was super pleasantly surprised by the song and the video. That chorus is catch af. This is the Tonight Alive I want to hear.
